Dana N. Hemmati, M.D.
Dr. Hemmati, formerly known as Dana Freeman, attended the University of Michigan prior to obtaining her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. John-Providence Health System in Michigan.
Dr. Hemmati’s areas of special interest include Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome as well as issues of women’s GI health. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. She is a published author and is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
She is a native of Michigan. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and practicing yoga.
